Ways to Keep Birds from Building a Nest on Transmission Lines

 



One viable way of keeping birds from building nests on transmission lines, distribution and substation systems is nesting deterrants. The inverted “V” shape product design is effective at keeping raptors, ravens, and other birds from building nests. Nesting deterrents are attached with strap banding, among other methods. Their design removes a flat, balanced base that birds use to form an avian nest.
